This is a good start, as was removing "Root Cause" the movie claiming that root canals cause cancer and many other diseases, but there are still a lot of quack movies on @PrimeVideo; e.g., "Cancer Can Be Killed" and "Burzynski: Cancer Cure Cover-up." 1/https://twitter.com/DrPaulOffit/status/1101808672865431552 …

"Cancer Can Be Killed," for instance, is cancer quackery propaganda disguised as a documentary. 2/https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/bad-documentary-review-cancer-can-be-killed/ …

"Burzynski: Cancer Cure Cover-up" is also a cancer quackery propaganda movie disguised as a documentary. It's basically, as far as I can tell from the trailer, a movie in which Eric Merola took his two Burzynski propaganda movies and edited them down to one film. 3/

There's misinformation galore in these movies, plus deceptive anecdotes and attacks on skeptics. 4/https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/stanislaw-burzynski-propaganda-versus-news/ …

So much misinformation in these movies, so little time to deconstruct it. 5/https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/burzynski-cancer-is-a-serious-business-part-2-like-the-first-burzynski-movie-only-more-so/ …

The first Burzynski movie was the best advertising this quack ever had. I discussed many of Burzynski’s patient anecdotes, and it was depressing to see how many had been drawn to him and his quackery by this movie. 6/https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/stanislaw-burzynski-bad-medicine-a-bad-movie/ …

Now, not having watched the Burzynski movie that's on
@PrimeVideo, I don't know what it does and does not include from the first two movies or whether there's new footage included. 7/1 reply 0 retweets 7 likesShow this thread -
What I do know is that, if the version of the Burzynski movie
@PrimeVideo is streaming is anything like the first two, it's a hagiography of a cancer quack and an advertisement for his quackery. 8/1 reply 0 retweets 6 likesShow this thread -
If
@PrimeVideo is interested in knowing how big a quack Burzynski is, I present my article about him and his history. 9/https://www.csicop.org/si/show/stanislaw_burzynski_four_decades_of_an_unproven_cancer_cure …1 reply 2 retweets 8 likesShow this thread -
And
@rjblaskiewicz's article on how Burzynski victimizes cancer patients. 10/https://www.csicop.org/si/show/skeptic_activists_fighting_for_burzynskis_cancer_patients …1 reply 2 retweets 7 likesShow this thread
In brief, getting rid of "Root Cause" and @vaxxedthemovie is a good start. However, there are lot of other movies that are basically infomercials for quackery on @PrimeVideo. They need to go too. 11/

Finally, at least
@PrimeVideo appears to be trying to do something about the quack content on its streaming service. In contrast@netflix is working with@GwynethPaltrow to produce a@goop TV series. Actively producing quack content is worse than just hosting it. 12/120 replies 9 retweets 33 likesShow this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
