As an epidemiologist (sorry, I did it the old school way in a University with advisors and peers in the classrooms with me), your 2 page article on measles vaccination rates lacks even the most basic levels of rigor.

1. You never once state the actual question you are asking or how you plan to answer it, the assumptions you are making, the plausibility of your claims or prior research in the area.

2. You rely on national, regional, and state level data which is far too broad to address the actual concerns others have claimed. Pockets of low rates can seed infection in the not yet able to be vaccinated greater population in those regions.

3. You ignore the available literature on these issues and other data sources (look towards Europe) that don't fit into your stated ideal. (This is likely a result of your lack of experience at being challenged in the past)

4. You throw out some idea about asymptomatic carriage and changing virulence without explaining the plausibility, historical context, or prior research that would justify such claims (all of this would get brought up in peer review)

Overall this little exercise that you did would be disappointing, even in an undergraduate course on epidemiology. The font and formality of the page design is nice. It is a pretty PDF. Unfortunately, it is a garbage analysis.

However, you seem passionate about public health and interested in research and communicating it. I would highly encourage you to enroll in an MPH program somewhere. It would be quite helpful and I promise that you won't be indoctrinated by 'the man'

If someone puts me in a list with a title like that, I block him.

Goldman is an idiot of the first order. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science and pretends to be the next coming of a combination Archimedes-Galileo-Newton-Leibniz-Darwin-Kant-Descartes--you name it. But, sadly, academia refuses to acknowledge his brilliance.

He's blissfully muted; so I don't see his responses in my timeline. I haven't blocked him because I rarely block people unless they harass me. It does, however make figuring out what you are all responding to other puzzling.

I muted him. I don't need to see his tweets to gather the general tenor of his comments. He always sings only one cracked note.
