I hate when people use the smallpox vaccine to slam current vaccines. My husband works in medical manufacturing and had to get the smallpox vaccine and yeah, it's a *horrible* vaccine. (He got a nasty infected arm.) But the safety profiles for that and MMR are totally different.

It's like saying "Oh, untreated water from a river right outside a chemical plant is bad for you, so I won't drink tap water!" Not the same, folks. (But if you were about to die of thirst, you'd drink the chemical plant water, wouldn't you?)

I once read an article in their “medical,” journal, I think from the 2000s, arguing that the Soviet Union was only playing dead and could leap back into existence at any moment if we let our guard down. Another article said youth drug culture was a KGB plot to weaken America.
