I'm continually amazed by the ability of viruses to disable our immune system. Complement inhibition and beyond! That alone certainly makes it seem that vaccination would trump the possible side effects. I wish I knew as a child about immunology what I know now.

Am I wrong in thinking that the MMR vaccine also has been shown to reduce prevalence in other childhood illnesses ? I seem to recall a study recently that seemed to show a correlation.
