The thread is good but it’s spreading misinformation as @PGtzsche1 is not speaking there.

Sorry, but a press release dated Feb. 14 states, "As part of a full day of scientific and legal sessions, the PIC Workshop & Luncheon will include a lecture by Professor Peter C. Gøtzsche entitled 'How Mandatory Vaccination Violates Medical Ethics.'" https://www.bizjournals.com/losangeles/prnewswire/press_releases/California/2019/02/14/UN54143 …

So a press release dated Feb. 14 stated that
@PGtzsche1 was going to speak at the@picphysicians. Prof. Gøtzsche didn't announce that he wouldn't be speaking until a Feb. 17 Tweet. When I wrote my Tweetstorm (Feb. 14), every indication was that he'd be speaking there.1 reply 2 retweets 7 likes -

What probably happened is that Prof. Gøtzsche pulled out when the Twitter shitstorm rubbed his face in the fact that he'd be appearing with leaders of the antivaccine movement at an antivaccine conference organized by an antivaccine group.

So I was not "spreading misinformation." You were simply not paying attention and behind the times on developments in this area.

I said in the present tense not the past tense. That you are doing it *now* by not deleting and correcting your tweet and attaching the accurate part of the thread to an accurate tweet. Far more see the original than ever see any correction or qualification. These and /1

I think it’s important to step back and see the larger picture… this is one of MANY conversations they infiltrated. Actually, I DO know my guess was not far from what actually happened. I know based on a Danish language news report. Gøtzsche said he agreed to speak because he shared PIC'S opposition to "mandatory" vaccination but didn't realize he'd share the stage with hard core antivaxers.

And yes, it was the Twitter shitstorm that let Gøtzsche know that RFK Jr., Mary Holland, Toni Bark, and the PIC lawyers are antivaccine. It was the Twitter shitstorm that let him know that
@picphysicians is an antivaccine group disguised as an "informed consent" advocacy group.1 reply 0 retweets 5 likes -

Basically, this isn't my first rodeo. I've been around the block a few times and seen doctors like Gøtzsche be suckered by antivaxers before. Because he's so hostile to big pharma he was an easy mark.
