So if a politician who'd previously been accused (you perhaps felt without merit) of white supremacist views was to appear at a KKK rally, giving a talk with a title which smacked of white supremacy alongside a line-up of white supremacists; you'd give them the benefit of doubt?

Jumping from vaccines to politics is far beyond me. But good try. (What is KKK?)

The Ku Klux Klan; I would assume most people would have heard of it? Perhaps the references to white supremacy might be a clue?

Don't patronize me please I have never heard it referred to by its abbreviation. And clan is spelled with a C. Well far away from the vaccines issue, don't you reckon?

You know? The only thing I would skip would be the "clan spelled with c" thing. Everything else Lalanda said is reasonable and quite understandable. Jumping to conclusions before seeing something is a childish act. And the worst part is that twitter is full of people ready to...

Do you think it’s reasonable for someone who is not antivaccine ro agree to be part - apparently, a keynote - in an antivaccine event? With a title that is likely to appeal to an antivaccine audience?

People who cared for Dr. Gotzche’s reputation night consider warning him that it’s not a good idea. And no, it’s not reasonable to try and defend such a choice. It’s a mistake.

First of all, you can claim that vaccines are good in an anti-vaccines event, what was your mistake is that Dr. Gotzche hasn't talked about the issue and you are already claiming that he is gonna be against vaccines without any clue more than, that place is anti-vaccines...

He’s acting in ways that suggest he’s willing to support and legitimize the antivaccine group.

Well, suggesting something is not a crime, the crime is an action, not the biased perception of someone who is already willing to be against someone. You can only be antivaccine once you defend that vaccines are bad. Until then, I won't think of him as an antivaccine.

No one said what he's doing is a crime. What we are saying is that it's a VERY bad idea. He's giving aid, comfort, and support to rabid antivaxers.

Then, don't talk about him as if he was an antivaccine, after all, he is not. You can actually find something in common with an enemy, not because an antivaccine claims something is right, you must say it's wrong. You can explain it better, to dismantle antivaccine's ideas

You lie down with dogs, and you might get fleas. You agree to appear on the same stage as rabid antivaxers at an event organized by antivaxers, and you're either an antivaxer yourself or, at best, a useful idiot for antivaxers.
