Yup. RFK Jr. is hard core antivax. So is Mary Holland. Ditto Toni Bark. Rick Jaffe is a lawyer who specializes in representing quacks like @DrStanBurzynski. @picphysicians is a hard core antivax group disguised as a a group advocating "informed consent."

If
@PGtzsche1 was unaware of these facts before, he is no longer. Will be pull out of this antivax confab where he's agreed to appear? I predict no, because he's become antivax.1 reply 3 retweets 12 likes -

And he’s giving a talk that, by its title, is designed to appeal to this antivaccine audience. Basically catering to them.

Indeed. It's a talk that Mary Holland or RFK Jr. himself could give. Hell, Andrew Wakefield could give it. I know
@PGtzsche1 hates being compared to Wakefield, but right now the shoe seems to fit.1 reply 4 retweets 15 likes -
Sorry guys, I'll believe he is antivax when I hear or read him talking against vaccination. Talking amongst a group of antivax people isn't enough after everything he's done. I'll be eager to read/watch more about this. In the meantime my admiration for him remains put.

Giving a talk on an antivaccine topic in an antivaccine event is a strange thing for someone who is not antivaccine. It’s touching that you trust him to the extent of ignoring it, but it’s also probably over trusting.

I have noticed a rather cult-like air about
@PGtzsche1's followers. So it doesn't surprise me that their motivated reasoning is strong enough too make excuses for his appearing with antivaxers at an antivax workshop organized by an antivax organization.2 replies 2 retweets 11 likes -
Cult-like air? Funny that. Oh..and unnecesarily offensive for a professional conversation. I admire his brave stand and agree with him on many issues. No blindness or faith involved.

I don't think it's "brave" to attack the scientific work of others from a position of substantial power and influence and then to utterly dissemble when your attacks fail. As happened with the EMA report into the HPV. As happened with the Cochrane HPV review.

He has accused others of COIs, accusations which have been found without merit; see Guido Rasi and Marc Arbyn. This isn't "brave".

Yup. I used to admire @PGtzsche1. Over the last couple of years I did my damnedest to give him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, his latest antics with @CochraneNordic, HPV, and now appearing with antivaxers have eliminated my remaining good will and admiration.
