You cite an extreme & atypical example where indeed benefits would be minimal. But where are the harms you speak of for any patients from gene lab work?
For non-physicians, can you explain the downside of *offering* genetic testing to all breast cancer patients? Are there false positives that would compel unnecessary treatment? Is the testing unreliable enough to compel a potentially harmful treatment?
