Oh I know. Certainly, 70s shows were a product of what was deemed acceptable at the time while also delivering insightful political and social commentary.

I know. That's why I said "borderline." By 2019 standards Hawkeye was definitely a sexual harasser.

I loved Margaret's transition over the series' run from blonde bimbo with daddy issues to sensitive, empowered woman.

I was watching seasons 6 and 7. Also, I don't have much memory of the early seasons because I was too young.

Same. And there was not a single woman on the show who wasn’t there as a sex object (NOTE: until later seasons when Maj Houlihan really came into her own as a developed character)

It turns out, culture and humor evolves. The villains, Burns and Emerson, were mocked as much as being relics as for anything else. Those blaming bad audiences or SJWs or whatever for the failure of their humor - they’re just the Frank Burnses of the modern era.

Then there's Klinger and you realize everyone loved Klinger. Oddly progressive.
