No, they may not. This is an incredibly dangerous suggestion. Let's put it this way. Before the discovery of insulin, diet was how type I diabetics were managed. It didn't work very well. Most died within a couple of years after diagnosis. https://twitter.com/HealthRanger/status/1087998420332232704 …

Low carb helps to manage type 1. Perhaps you should read the article. It was published in the journal paediatrics and was the most read article. http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/141/6/e20173349..info …

No one is suggesting people with type 1 diabetes can cease insulin, but by reducing carbs, they can reduce insulin requirements, blood glucose levels and glycaemic variability.

I'm pretty sure at least some "health ranger" types are suggesting people with type 1 diabetes can cease insulin.

https://www.naturalnews.com/042441_type_1_diabetes_raw_food_diet_natural_treatment.html … Does this count? .. eating a diet that primarily consists of raw foods can dramatically reduce blood sugar levels in type 1 diabetics, perhaps even stopping their insulin dependency.
