Just wondering: does ANYBODY buy CDs anymore? Why?

I still like to get the odd boxed set of my favorite artists every now and then.

A better question is : Why vinyl? CD sounds so much better, and I can rip CDs into iTunes losslessly to stream on my home stereo and match with all my iDevices through Apple Music. I'm not into vinyl and have never been able to understand why it's become a thing again.

I gave it up as soon as I got my first CD player 30 years ago.

I regret buying every CD I ever bought (~1000) but not a single record.

The only CDs I regretted buying were the ones where the music turned out not to be as good as I'd hoped. To reach his own, I guess.

To each his own.
