I notice plenty of anti-vaccine sentiment on both sides of the political aisle.

This is true. The prevalence of antivax views is roughly the same on the right and left. However, in recent years antivaxers have been very successful aligning themselves with anti-regulation right wingers.

This appeal by antivaxers to the right was based on appeals to government overreach in mandating vaccines for school entry and "parental rights" in which a patent should be able to refuse vaccines for their children. (Note that the child's right to healthcare figures not at all.)

As this appeal to the right by antivaxers has progressed and metastasized, antivax views and pseudoscience have infiltrated the right with it.

Right now, as 2019 dawns, even though the prevalence of antivax views is similar on the left and on the right, politically the loudest, most influential antivax forces are all on the right. Only Republicans feel obligated to pander to their antivax fringe.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2018/10/25/the-republican-party-has-become-the-antivaccine-party/ …

I know it’s anecdotal experience, but I see plenty of that attitude from the ‘cult of nature’ on the left. It seems foolishness knows no political boundaries.

No one—and I mean *no one*—is affinity that there aren't a lot of left wing antivaxers. My point was that, right now, as 2018 fades into 2019, the loudest and most influential voices in the antivaccine movement come from the right, not the left.

Look at it this way. Do Democrats running for office routinely feel obligated to pander to antivaxers? No, but
@MIGOP politicians do. Do left wing antivaccine PACs funnel money to antivax Democrats? No, but right wing antivax PACs exist and help primary provax Republicans.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Replying to @gorskon @DoctorMommyTina and
Are Democrats receptive to appeals from antivaxers arguing for loosening requirements for personal belief exemptions to school vaccine mandates? Very few, but a lot of Republicans are.

My soon-to-be former state Rep. Jeff Noble summed it up when he said @MIGOP reps on the Health Policy Committee are the only ones receptive to vaccine choice initiatives, while the Democrats won’t even consider them and want to “shove vaccines down your throat (or arm)."
