Some small ones, right now. But they aren't interested in having any drivers, they want market share before they all go AI. So unemployed drivers, but safer more efficient roads. This is the future

I'd hardly call the problems I briefly listed "small ones." They're major issues, and I didn't even list all of them, given that it was just one Tweet and I wasn't in the mood to do a whole thread on this.

Try getting a cab to come pick you up in the suburbs sometime. Impossible in my city (LV). And although I have no direct evidence of this, I believe the ready availability of rides cuts down on DUI to some extent. To be sure, there are negatives.

Seems counterintuitive....ride sharing increasing traffic?

Maybe taking riders from buses and trains and now they are in individual cars?

As a scientist, u have 2 admit any reasonable analysis says the benefits far outweigh the costs. A vastly unused resource (cars sitting in peoples garages) is utilized more efficiently, for the benefit of both parties. Opt out if u have privacy concerns. Traffic argument is BS

I can understand the traffic and pollution arguments, but how do they reduce transportation access to@low income communities? Have bus routes been reduced as a result of Uber and Lyft?
