Yeah, I scrolled down
@DemandADoctor's Twitter feed. It makes me embarrassed to be a surgeon. Whoever runs the feed is arrogant and nasty as hell, all of his ire directed at NPS with evidence-free rants against them.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -
Nothing says “professionalism” more than denigrating the contribution of your colleagues

Punching at NPs when we’re in the midst of a worsening primary care shortage also tells me all I need to know about a person’s commitment to access, too.

Yep. I can understand that primary care is really rough and hard to make a living doing, but attacking NPs is not going to protect PMDs.

I’m in primary care. I have four amazing NP colleagues (two of whom are partners). I have worked with NPs since residency. I do not find them remotely threatening.

Our pediatrician is an NP who also has a doctorate in child psych, so I guess we "demanded a doctor" and got a nurse who is a doctor. Go figure.

I, too, have worked with NPs since my dust job of of fellowship. They've all been quite professional and quite good. I'll even go you one better. My wife is a pediatric NP.
