Every single day I spend HOURS talking people out of tests ordered by DC or NDs or, worse, explaining the “results” of such bogus tests. Also, I discontinue way more meds and supplements than I start. Some of my pats take >20 naturopathic supplements. How can we stop this?

Our research has found gov reg has little impact on what alt med practitioners provide (self regulation). The bunk remains: https://aacijournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1710-1492-7-14 … And our 2016 study found that bogus testing common, especially for naturopaths: https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/6/12/e014028 … Hurts the public & system.

Insurance companies don't pay for most of it. There are exceptions in some states (acupuncture, naturopathy, etc.) and one big one in nearly all states (chiropractic), but most other alternative medicine is not covered.
