Particularly hilarious is how Dr. Lantier says that hepatitis A vaccination rates are below the herd immunity threshold, "yet we haven't had outbreaks of these diseases for decades now." Dude, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. We have one in Michigan right now!https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/11/10/mayor-algonac-responds-hepatitis-outbreak-promoting-antivaccine-pseudoscience/ …

The hepatitis A outbreak in SE Michigan started in August 2016, and it's still ongoing. There have been hepatitis A outbreaks in other states too. Dr. Lantier could have discovered that with just a little Googling. https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/0,5885,7-339-71550_2955_2976_82305_82310-447907--,00.html …

Unfortunately, Dr. Lantier was too busy spreading antivaccine misinformation and pseudoscience on the pages of
@TheOklahoman to bother to do even the most basic fact checking. So not only is he an antivaxer, but he's a sloppy antivaxer!Show this thread -
As for the rest, vaccines don't cause autism. Dr. Lantier's citing J.B. Handley (who founded the antivaccine group that Jenny McCarthy became associated with) on anything having to do with vaccines is risible.

So, DR Dweeb hasn't ever heard of the axiom that correlation does not equal causation ? So when I get hit by lightning on Monday then win the lottery on Wednesday I should thank getting hit by lightning for giving me millions of dollars ? Remind me to never rely on that Dr.

The surgery center he works at is much beloved of the
@AAPSonline and the types of physicians who gravitate to such groups, particularly libertarian, "free market" über alles types. It's portrayed as the sort of thing that will save healthcare from the evil socialism. - Show replies
