My personal favorite Thacker anecdote is when he pretended to be an NYU journalism student 3 yrs ago and sent an email about me to editors at various sci mags. It was so classic Thacker, right down to the Russian server he used. Yeah, he's a real paragon of ethics.
Sorry. Let me try and see what he said. I blocked him and now have to figure out what you're referring to.
Okay. That one. He recently emailed someone or tweeted that I work for US Right to Know, so I'm just trying to figure out what is what. This time.
I was one of many people, I think, who got some email from someone who said they went through the Folta emails and found emails from Kloor. This was three years back. That email contained other emails or attached these Kloor emails.
I think forwarded either that email onto people or the Kloor emails that it forwarded/attached. I then panicked, because I wasn't sure who was behind this whole thing. I didn't know if the emails were actual or made up to fool people. In other words, someone planting phony emails
Perhaps Paul would like to unblock me so I can be part of the convo? And maybe, while he's at it, list which NGOs and foundations pay him, which Mr. Transparency steadfastly refuses to do, even when our colleagues have asked him. http://www.keithkloor.com/?p=14917
Well, Thacker's unlikely to unblock me, and I certainly have no desire to unblock him. Ditto Balter. So I'm going to mute this discussion, because I can't figure out what's being discussed and, quite frankly, don't care what Thacker and Balter have to say any more.
