Straw men. No one says that lifestyle changes are useless. No one says that pharmacognosy (the study of natural products) is without merit. Naturopathy, however, combines a little science with a whole lot of pseudoscience and quackery, including homeopathy.

Not a straw man. These therapies are not utilized to anyway near a proper extent in conventional allopathic care as it is actually practiced ( as opposed to taught and theorized).

Not true (for example, diet and lifestyle modification is literally the first approach for type 2 diabetics before drugs in therapeutics)

I see to recall mentioning a caveat that my statement concerned real life, as opposed to theoretical standards of care and so forth.

I can confirm that for Germany. Diet and lifestyle are always addressed first when treating diabetes.

Paul, even if Canadian physicians didn't regularly advise diabetic patients on diet and lifestyle that doesn't mean magic is real. Being a proponent of healthy living doesn't necessitate making stuff up to prey on gullibility.

No. The research and clinical practice on the subject is the proof of that. But the skeptical propaganda line about #Homeopathy is a conversation for another day my hairy friend.

Is proof of what? Making stuff up is necessary? I'm not just talking about homeopathy. Most everything under the naturopathic "medicine" umbrella is magical thinking. Sort of foundational, really.

Indeed. Homeopathy is just the most egregiously pseudoscientific component of naturopathy. Or maybe it's not. Energy medicine is basically faith healing.

I actually used to be a "practitioner" of magic. This really is all the same stuff, just called something different by people with phony degrees.
