I wrote my senior thesis on a VT100 terminal connected to a DEC 10 via a 300-baud modem. You’re just a kid.

You don't want to know the pains I went through typing complicated equations with a non-WYSIWYG editor for my master's thesis.

I'll play. I wrote a paper based on research done for a grant. It was 1988, and I used a portable computer that had large floppy discs. I was in my third trimester, and probably shouldn't have been lugging around that overgrown suitcase.

Children, all of you. I wrote my doctoral dissertation on a rudimentary word processor on an ibm 370 through a terminal connected to the mainframe on a 300 baud dial-up modem. I had to change from type mode to edit mode to make corrections.

300 baud? Luxurious speed!

I helped write a role playing game w/other grad students on an Apple II. The lab had a new Macintosh (the original 128k cube) all of us grad students could share for our research. We thought it was heaven. My college had dumb terminals and my HS had punchcards. (No clay tablets.)
