      SOME chemotherapy agents were derived from mustard gas. The vast majority were not. Many are even natural products or modified natural products.

          To the point of: Alternative medicine that has been shown to work is simply called, "medicine". I hate with a passion this term "alternative". Everything is an alternative to something, but in modern usage "alternative" are those that fail, but remain "believed in".
