Now, history (sorry if that isn’t hard evidence because it’s based on experience), mass violent movements and genocidal movements are predicated on conspiracy theories. From blood libel to the Protocols of the Elders of zion, promotion of such precedes pogroms.
One of my greatest regrets about my education is that I didn't take a lot more liberal arts in college, including history. I took more science even when I didn't have to and took only the minimum liberal arts for a degree. It was a mistake that I've been making up for ever since.

It has made me a happier person and gave me more intellectual outlets to go to a liberal arts college but even so I wish I had even more time in humanities. I think when I retire I’ll go back to college and keep taking courses until I die.

I enjoyed my minor in public policy, and it has made me better able to converse. But don't knock the science. Medicine's origins are in art, and are no different than the naturopaths and charlatans. It is only through our modern emphasis on science that our field truly helps.
