Bloody hell. Didn't you know that Peter Doshi is, if not an antivaxer, at least antivax-adjacent?https://www.skepticalraptor.com/skepticalraptorblog.php/peter-doshi-vaccine-denier-conspiracy-vaers/ …

I read his latest offering about 2015 flu jab and narcolepsy...the BMJ is a good journal, why give him a platform? I'm annoyed, I assumed BMJ get appropriate experts for opinion articles?

I continue to be disappointed by Peter Doshi's behavior. He seems more interested in creating controversy than improving health.

He also misrepresents himself as an epidemiologist when he's really a cultural anthropologist.

Exactly, so why do respected journals publish his 'expert opinions'? I took it for granted that I didn't need to background check a BMJ ex opinion! No wonder public trust in science is so shaky.

Replying to @EmmaMarieSmith1 @gorskon and
Doshi, Gøtzsche, Jefferson and Jørgensen...in the BMJ. Latter three all giving Nordic Cochrane as their affiliation. Is this bingo? https://www.bmj.com/content/362/bmj.k3694.full …pic.twitter.com/fsG5Gey99o

Lots of Peter Doshi's editorials don't go through peer review because he's an editor.

Thus showing the poor quality of BMJ peer review when it comes to HPV and fly vaccines.
