For crying out loud, the genre title is Fantasy. Fantasy, as in not real and whatever you want it to be. Authors should be praised if they create characters that don't conform to gender norms or tropes, because that advances the craft. The world's diverse - fiction should be too.

I recall from the books one of the kings dies from infection after accidentally cutting himself on the throne, so maybe we should once again just blame this on the *terrible writing* since they left the books that makes it so I can't watch anymore.

I don't recall that. Near the end of book one (season one), King Robert Baratheon was gored in the abdomen by a wild boar and died of what appeared to be intraabdominal sepsis.
