So it is ok to kill babies when you are breastfeeding but not when you take the pill?

Jen’s question is absolutely relevant. If we know that breast-feeding prevents implantation and formula feeding doesn’t, and you believe that preventing implantation is unethical, then it’s obviously unethical to choose breastfeeding over formula.

Fr Dailey, you are being rather disrespectful to Dr Gunter by assuming that she lacks serious intent. It appears that she does. She has posed the ethical dilemma to you and you've sidestepped and responded with veiled insults. I'm disappointed.

Dr Gunter is serious and engaging in an argument respectfully.

Engaging a catholic priest on the subject of birth control is one of those “no goes” doctrinally the Catholic Church has already provided all priests with all they want to know on the subject. Science and religion are not compatible, and never will be in the Catholic Church.

Fr Dailey engaged in the debate by responding to Russ Taylor's tweet. When confronted by Dr Gunter, he sidestepped and was insulting imo. Disappointing stance for an authority on ethics. Question remains.

Imo, the ensuing dialogue wasn't crazy. You called it such to justify disengaging.
