Why do so many TV shows film everything in such darkness? If I don't turn out all the lights in the room, in some scenes I can't tell what's going on. I've seen this irritating phenomenon on so many shows. My current example is the first episode of season 2 of @OutcastCinemax.

I've especially noticed this phenomenon since I got a 4K HDR TV. For instance, "Luke Cage" has a lot of this issue. So do a lot of other 4K shows I've seen. Fiddling with the TV settings only marginally helps.

I'm five episodes into season two of "Luke Cage" and I seriously thinking of following your leaf.
