I haven't written a post this sad since I was at the height of writing up the stories of #Burzynski patients. Unfortunately, @019Clinica produces a lot of these cases, and they need to be discussed in part 3. 1/https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/clinica-0-19-false-hope-in-monterrey-for-brain-cancer-patients-part-3-of-3/ …

The cllaim of the
@019Clinica doctors that most interests me, though, is that they have published "Super-selectiveintraarterial chemotherapy in the primary management of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma: 2-year experience from an institution in México.” 3/Show this thread -
According to
@019Clinica, this abstract was published "in the framework of the XII Congress of Latin American Immunology (ALAI) and the XXIII Congress of the Mexican Immunology Society (SMI)." 4/Show this thread -
Just to let
@019Clinica docs, Drs. Siller and Garcia know, I will be getting my hands on a copy of that abstract. They could save me the trouble by emailing it to me (preferably with the poster or slides from their presentation), but somehow I doubt they'll do it. 5/Show this thread -
Yes, a fourth part in my
@019Clinica series might now be indicated. So I appeal to my Tweeps who can point me to a copy of that abstract, and especially to the actual poster or presentation. If it's not in English, I'll find someone who speaks Spanish to help me translate it. 6/6Show this thread

1/ Indeed, very sad. Unfortunately, I did not have to go to Mexico to see this horror story. I watched it unfold right here in the San Francisco Bay Area when the 58-yr-old father of my only child was diagnosed with stage 4 high grade sarcoma.

2/ Even though he was full of massive tumors at the time of diagnosis and the oncologist told him, "You are going to die," that did not stop them from flooding him with aggressive and costly treatments that significantly deteriorated the quality of his final weeks of life.
