It’s like having rigorous training around fairies, psychic feelings and unicorns. You may know a lot but it won’t help you tray patients.

Fun thing, no matter how "rigorously" one learns something that is untrue, it remains false.

Long ago, I studied astrology. It was very detailed with lots of charts and calculations, quite “rigorous”. However its basic premise, that the stars controlled individual destiny, was nonsense. No amount of competence in the study could overcome that nonsensical premise.

I know it’s purely anecdotal, but I can’t forget the two NDs who were in my RN program. They were going to be so kind and help the rest of us since they had already completed a “doctorate.” Guess who actually needed help? A lot of help.

That's precisely why I won't go to see a naturopath. Sure they may give some valuable advice and care, but that doesn't mitigate the quackery they study and practice. If homeopathy is part of the practice, it is unscientific in a hugely fundamental way.

It’s entirely possible to study incorrect information very rigorously. You'll be an expert at being wrong.
