WTF, @latimes and @skarlamangla? @DrBobSears is NOT the "leading vaccine skeptic." He is NOT a skeptic. He is a vaccine denialist. He is an antivaxer. Do better with your headlines.http://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-ln-sears-license-20180629-story.html …

Dr. Sears is a man who has repeatedly compared
#SB277, the California law ending nonmedical exemptions to school vaccine mandates, to the Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. 3/https://respectfulinsolence.com/2015/06/17/the-annals-of-im-not-antivaccine-part-18-dr-bob-goes-full-godwin-over-sb-277/ …Show this thread -
I know you can't go full
@oracknows on Sears, but, geez, don't glorify him by calling him a "vaccine skeptic." Do we call creationists "evolution skeptics"? Do we call moon hoaxers "moon landing skeptics"? We do not, and we shouldn't call antivaxers "vaccine skeptics," 4/Show this thread -

One more thing. I know a case can be made for saying that Sears isn't necessarily antivax but only panders to antivaxers. That's a distinction without a difference, at least functionally. He's making money peddling an "alternative" vaccine schedule and helping parents avoid SB277
