Indeed. Why else did quack-friendly legislators like Tom Harkin fight so hard to have the ACA cover any medical service whose practitioners are licensed by the state? Chiropractors are licensed in all 50 states. In some states acupuncturists and naturopaths are licensed.

It’s also usually fairly low cost stuff (at least on its face- actuarial models don’t really account for the possibility that seeking out quackery could delay care and lead to more costly interventions as a result) so insurers don’t fight those mandates very hard
