He just stated facts.. If he were talking blacks deaths vs births.. you would not react so . If he were alt right he would be mumbling about how all of society will collapse due to this as only whites make the world great from some of the stuff I have seen that is alt right .

The use of the word extinction is key. It suggests that whites as a race are somehow distinct from other humans rather than this being an arbitrary social construct. Stating facts + dogwhistle = creepy.

Also, the word "extinction" implies a far more dire situation than reality. Falling to less than 50% of the population doesn't mean extinction. Not even close!

I though he was reacting to the wht shaming that is taught at universities.. It is form of racism to shame people for white skin or to blame them for their ancestors bad stuff I get what you say about extinction thing. I see whites as blacks who lost pigment over generations

White shaming is not taught at universities. That’s a silly inflated myth. I find it interesting to hear people tell me what’s happening at universities all the time when I’ve spent the last 22 years on university campuses. This is a dogwhistle and you’ve just blown another.

I have had several young men tell me that they have been race shamed in classes at the UW & they do not speak out .. Their experience of this was why they said they were going to vote Trump .

If someone shaming your whiteness pushes you over the edge to rank bigotry, you were already a bigot. The likelihood is they were called out on racist BS and used that as an excuse for white grievance. There has been a lot of that going around lately.

The professor was just proposing techniques to teach students about their white privilege. No wonder it sent the racists into conniptions.

Did the professor teach black privilege? The whole white privilege thing is an attempt to shift power. I was a foster child. I know disadvantage.. & I know playing the victim card is whacked as taught power shift

It’s not about your individual starting point but teaching about the additional burdens placed based on race. Denial that there is a difference between how blacks and whites are treated, that institutional and structural racism exists is itself racist.

I like to paraphrase something I've heard before: White privilege doesn't mean your life isn't hard. It just means that your race is not a major contributing reason why your life is hard. That's all.

Why not just teach people about privilege no matter race ? We don't teach classes on black criminal tendency right ? Think if races were reversed if it would be racist & if so it is. Privilege is about opportunity & those w it should be mindful of those w out it no matter race

I have been reading history & it seems people in power of all races are horrible at times to the poor & others if they can get away with it .. Its not a white thing.. Its a power thing. Humans can terribly suck at times.
