Unpopular view: I don't understand all the hate for TLJ. I actually liked how the movie refreshingly subverted longstanding Star Wars tropes. It makes me think maybe the haters really are basement dwellers. I didn't like it much tbh - I loved RO and even Solo though. While aims of TLJ were laudable, the writing for both Leia and Skywalker was so removed from their character it was jarring and a shame, as EU had better stories they could have mined. Not arsed enough to remake :P!

I wasnt the grwatest fan of it. I quite liked grumpy Skywalker though to be honest, and decades have passed since original trilogy so you could imagine his character changing. I had more of the problem with the weird plot holes and the odd meaningless sojourn to the casino

As did I. I had some minor complaints (the casino side adventure went on a bit too long, for instance), but overall I really enjoyed it.
