When I was 15 I was already writing letters to my Representative. My parents had no idea what was in them.

Right? I was quite into politics at 15. My HS teachers were very pro-active in getting us involved with the voting process, and its importance.

My high school put a great emphasis on civics I was probably more engaged in politics when I was 15 than I was at 25.

When I was 17, one of the gentlemen running for State Senate came polling. "I don't need to talk to you, you can't vote yet." So I went out and volunteered for his rival, helping canvass neighborhoods.

Not to mention that I had to take a lot of mandatory classes on civics and government, in preparation for a state-mandated test on both state and national government. That's not necessesarily political...but it's not a wild leap to start forming opinions.

#MAGA think we just turned liberal, my voting history would show decades voting Dem PS I do believe@realDonaldTrump would too F them -
Personally, I did turn liberal. I voted almost exclusively Republican from age 18 until I was around 40. My conversion began in that 1990s as I started to notice how batshit crazy the
@GOP had become. It was completed by the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

As a high school student - I was well educated in politics. We had a day a week for current events, studied international literature and history. Civil Rights Movement, Castro's take-over of Cuba, JFK assassination, Viet Nam war ... we also lived in interesting times.

Millennials and Gen Z give me hope. They’re an impressive group (my son is a millennial and my daughter a Gen Z).

I had my own Time and Newsweek subscriptions at age 13. I was a budding poli sci buff/future lawyer at that point. And yes, very nerdy.
