@CaraSantaMaria I apologize. I reserve the right to explain anything to anybody regardless of gender when they are uneducated about something.

The very definition of mansplaining is that she *is* educated about the subject that he feels the need to condescend to her about. Mansplaining is not the same thing as explaining.

Stop using your identity to give you special permission to declare somebody else's intent. Any criticism made by a man of your claims of sexism could be made by a woman. This exists for each and every "oppressed" group in the United States. Logic is logic Group doesn't matter.

Sjaak.... If a woman did the same it wouldn't be mansplaining, duh. Your entire rant is just hot air... totally irrelevant.

It would be identical to the "mansplaining" i.e. bad argumentation. The person's gender has no effect on the quality of their commentary, except in your world, where stupid interjections are made stupider when a penis is attached to the commenter.

It’s the preconceived notion that women don’t know what they’re talking about because they’re women, while simultaneously believing that men know what they’re talking about no matter what - this is something men do to women. Mansplaining is gender related.

And so all of the times this slur is used against men logically telling women they are being hysterical for calling something benign sexism, men just have to allow women to tell them they're mansplaining? We have to consent to our motives being assumed before they're stated?

Clearly, he is unaware of the rather dark history of the use of the term "hysterical" applied to women. His cluelessness is indeed epic.

I’m perfectly aware of the etymology and will continue to use it. Both men and women can exhibit hysterical behavior. This tweet train is proof positive.
