In fairness it's less about how 'celebrities' are in person and more about how they are treated by organisers and segregating them etc

Exactly. It’s not the individuals per se; it’s the culture and environment that fosters this behavior IMO.

This thought actually occurred to me, David. As someone who struggles with social anxiety, I might do the same, and so I wrote it off at the time with this exact apologetic.

Also, I think I have a bit of the imposter syndrome. When fans come up to tell me how much they like my work, often can't believe it/don't think I deserve it, and sometimes it even causes my anxiety levels to shoot through the roof.
