No surprise to see Shermer's name here.
Unfortunately Shermer has completely abandoned all skepticism in favor of political fame. He wants to be one of the “intellectuals of the dark web.”
Quite disappointing indeed. I hold Skeptic Magazine in high esteem, but Peterson is incoherent, inconsistent, and a proponent of Jungian pseudoscience. He isn’t notable for his scholarship, but a YouTube video. This is the best critique I’ve seen: https://www.currentaffairs.org/2018/03/the-intellectual-we-deserve …
It's the same thing the so-called skeptics that fanboi for Sam Harris do. He's an atheist! Let's all ignore how ignorant and uninformed he is on Islam and women's rights!
Harris uninformed on Islam? Okay..
Could be a courtesy of the IDW cross marketing campaign for synergistic grifting.
The “Skeptic” label is increasingly being owned by those members of the alt right who don’t do Jesus.
I know. I plan on observing at @NECSS and maybe talking to skeptics there about this.
