Holy shit. I looked up that article. It proves nothing. Triple negative breast cancer averages a 25%-30% complete pathological response rate to neoadjuvant chemo therapy. This patient is nothing unusual, and this case report isn't evidence for ketogenic diets. @

And there has been diddly squat of an update on this patient since. Considering this clinic still have video testimonials on its website & FB for treated patients who died shortly after the recordings is somewhat ‘odd’

Sketchy doesn't even come close. Seyfried has chosen to partner w/ Slocum & Berkarda at this scam clinic "treating" cancer pts with IV DMSO, DCA, laetrile, mistletoe, etc,, What reputable researcher or doctor would associate with this?pic.twitter.com/3gudtFlIQV

Of course, the facts of Seyfried's work are not particularly convincing from a scientific standpoint, which is probably why he's attracted to snake oil salesmen and drifted definitively into their orbit.

Did you read the "study" I posted, from Seyfried on the "miraculous"
stage IV TNBC "cure" at the Turkish clinic? I'd love to hear your objective weighing of the evidence to see if you can continue to defend him.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

The claim was not supported. Triple negative breast cancer can have pathologic complete response rates as high as 40% (although 25-35% is more typical in most series). That the patient had a pCR says NOTHING about whether the ketogenic diet or hyperthermia did anything.
