Sigh. This is why #RightToTry passed. It's so easy to demagogue and lead people like Mike into reacting like this to criticism and opposition to RTT. https://twitter.com/golfhacker72/status/1001941664540381186 …

Also, my opposition to
#RightToTry has nothing to do with@realDonaldTrump. I was criticizing and opposing RTT in 2014, well over a year before Trump ever descended that escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy.1 reply 0 retweets 10 likesShow this thread -

And, unsurprisingly, Mike won't even consider the possibility that I might have a point. https://twitter.com/GolfHacker72/status/1002621535545446405 …

That is actually the most ludicrous thing you've said. My paycheck, such as it is, does not depend on administering chemotherapy or other drugs. I'm a surgeon, and most terminally ill patients are not surgical candidates—for obvious reasons.

Also, if anyone would benefit from #RightToTry, it would be drug companies with fewer ethics than average. They could clean out their inventory of drugs that passed phase I testing, get INDs for them, and then sell them under RTT, no evidence of efficacy needed.
