I think this is true in pretty much all states. “Legal” definition gets hairy though, as I could legally operate with my MD license, but if something went wrong, I could be legally liable for practicing outside my area of expertise - along with ethical board concerns.

I worry that crass, disrespectful and degrading behavior toward patients may be common on the OR. You would know 1000x better than me. I understand the human impulse to depersonalize when cutting someone open. Just kind of scares me as a patient.
