I tried with the Android YouTube app and everything works fine. It’s just the Apple iPad YouTube app that cannot detect my Chromecast at times.

Got it. Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app on your iPad, then give it a few tries and see if the same thing happens?

Okay reinstalled the app. It’s working now. Could be due to residual appdata. Thanks.

Okay.. after reinstalling YouTube app it was working fine. Then I shut down the app and Chromecast. Turn on Chromecast and started YouTube app. Won’t detect again.

Alright. Could you also check if other apps are doing the same thing or if it's just YouTube?

Yep this problem/bug seems unique to the Apple iPad version of YouTube. Android YouTube app is working fine.

Thanks for confirming. Since your other apps are working great and it's only happening on your YouTube app, we'd suggest you reach out to our friends from @TeamYouTube for more help and details.
