1/2 We don't want people to carry guns because: 1) There's no requirement that the person be "responsible" 2) Because handguns aren't super accurate in trained hands and those bullets end up going somewherehttps://www.rawstory.com/2015/09/texas-good-guy-with-a-gun-shoots-carjacking-victim-in-head-then-runs-away/ …

Yes. Every responsible gun owner is responsible right up until the second they're not. And mistakes with deadly things -- when such mistakes are simple to avoid -- should not be encouraged. This country has a ridiculous amount of gun violence due to a ridiculous amount of guns.

A lot of freedoms can be problematic -- but guns are made to kill. Period. There's no other utility. Driving has a purpose. Alcohol has a purpose that isn't as noble. But they're also HIGHLY regulated because of the dangers. Not so with guns.

In fact, it amazes me when people try to use that argument. It's like Canadian criminals have to be the dumbest people in the world -- they don't realize that they can just ignore all those gun laws if they want, and then prey on a mostly unarmed populace.
