    The Presidio Stables were built in 1914 after the 9th Cavalry was garrisoned here in 1903. In the later years, Buffalo Soldier regiments used these stables for short periods. 104 years later, the stables are still in use via U.S. Park Police.

    Yesterday, Wildlife and Aquatic Ecology Interns (Yoshi & Karl) and Park Aquatic Ecologists performed the first evening survey of the amphibian breeding season. 3 red-legged frogs & 1 rough skinned newt were assisted to safely cross the road!
