    We receive hundreds of messages on how to get started with Deep Learning. You need Theory, Math & Code, but there's a data overload of online resources, random and scattered. It's difficult and time-consuming to understand and curate which resources are the best for your purpose.

    Fun fact: Minimizing an in-progress, legacy Windows command prompt window will often make the program run faster. When a program sends visual update it tries to draw each one. If you minimize the window it doesn’t bother repainting the window. This can make stuff run 50x faster.

    Ironically, the GST was a big reason Australian businesses were well prepared for Y2K. Small business people had to get their tech gear into gear for the GST and so those aging computer systems were duly phased out. *MOST* individuals were doing plenty in fact.

    Today is the anniversary of the 2004 Tsunami that killed over 2 lakh people across Asia.I saw the 2nd wave as it came in. Was on top of water tank in DD office.Had no idea what it was. Less than a minute is all it took. Prayers for families who lost loved ones

    A 52-year-old Navy SEAL was accepted to Yale and expected to find “snowflakes” and “safe spaces.” Instead he found it was the people who mock college students who are sheltered, brittle, and close-minded. Worth a read, and consistent with my experience.
