Would it possible for you to expand on the benefits just so people (like me) understand the value of it and perhaps focus on it more?

It's extremely rare to be able to produce force with the lower body in high amounts in a nearly horizontal direction. Athletically, this has tons of transfer... ie, anything that isn't stationary.
