TIL the TPL makes their whole catalogue available as a MARC download, that's neat. (they also advertise their Z39.50 endpoint freely which is good)

A snapshot from a website showing annual snapshots for download of the Toronto Public Library catalogue in MARC format.

at work we use polls as part of a consensus process. instead of yes/no polls we often do "yes/no/abstain/veto"; poll results might require more discussion instead of resolving an issue. as memorably put it, "vote first, figure out what it means later"

Terry Crews is out here, seemingly by himself, standing up for men who have been sexually assaulted in an environment that lampoons abuse of men. This is the definition of courageous and the epitome of being a man.

If we've learned anything in the last two years it's that unresolved racial animus and ahistorical racist narratives are a national security issue. If we can't come to honest terms with our real past, we're putting our future at risk.

It's not just you. I'm new to ed but I've been using it more and more. When I have questions/comments, I tweet them out. They have been some of my most liked/retweeted/discussed tweets. Mind. Blown. ed is alive and well. We should all reminder each other we're not alone.

Perception of conflict between cyclists/drivers relatively consistent across Canada, except in the 905 where, I assume, there’s no conflict because basically nobody bikes.

Conclusion from this new Canada-wide Angus Reid poll on cyclist/driver conflict: Winnipeg REALLY wants more separated bike lanes.
