  5. Canada will have an important debate about how to tackle the pollution that causes climate change in 2019. The plan is based on the best available economics and science. The plan does not (yet) exist.

  6. It’s important to respond that most of the country’s (and the world’s) economists and scientists say precisely the opposite. Pricing pollution is an essential part of any serious plan.

    This deserves more attention. Canada is attracting *100,000s* of talented educated and ambitious future citizens. And, yes, also future taxpayers. Immigration/integration is arguably Canada's comparative (and absolute) advantage among OECD competitors.
