Today my office initiated a lawsuit against @doordash for illegally misclassifying employees as independent contractors.

Sir, with all due respect: Cut it out! Most of us drivers want to remain Independent Contractors because of the flexibility and because e make more than minimum wage.
#AB5 only guarantees minimum wage. Not good enough.2 replies 9 retweets 32 likes -
Also, don’t forget that
#AB5 takes your independent contractor tax deductions away. So, your home office, internet, phone, etc is gone.3 replies 2 retweets 13 likes -

When you're an employee you can just get reimbursed for those things instead of having to claim them as tax deductions

Hahahah no. When you are a PT nope. Next theory please. Also, I have 3 certifications that require cont. ed. my employer doesn’t pay for the classes to keep up with that unless you are PT with benefits.

I'm sorry to hear it and that's a totally legit beef to have with an employer who won't even give you PT with benefits let alone enough hours for FT

No employer owes me anything. I accepted this job during a pandemic and after #ab5 took my livelihood away. I’m thankful for having a job and being able to pay my billls. With AB5 most of us lost it all.
