okay so i get dinged on QA for not being empathetic enough, right? And I get that. But here's the thing. How weird is it to be a person who just casually drops incredibly personal info to a complete stranger on the phone? Huh?

not only did they bungle what could have been a really positive, inclusive thing. But they made it as non-inclusive as possible by putting targets on people's backs and inviting the worst of the worst to take swings at the situation.

the responses to that twitch tweet are about what i would expect. i'm not trans myself but watching this controversy bring out all the bleating transphobes by giving them another platform to mock trans people for 'not being women' is disgraceful. twitch should have known better.

not many people know that about cories. they get told that cories are a great 'cleanup crew' fish. which is a lie. the same way tetras being a community tank friendly fish is a lie. both are canards told by people who haven't actually researched the fish.

i'm not being mean. 4 cories in a 5 gallon is a recipe for them to poison themselves because they release toxins into the water when they're stressed. cories are amazing fish and need a lot of space and hiding places or they just fall over dead and take the whole tank with them.

you know, i don't want people about bad fish tank conditions to be an asshole. i think i may have unintentionally pissed someone on reddit off to the point of deleting their stuff because i pointed out 4 cories and a betta in a 5g can literally be lethal.

no but seriously i'm going to call them today because they were out early last week and still have nothing stocked so...i need to know if i need to order specialty online elsewhere.

also the local pet store doesn't have any more snake food so...guess baby noodle will just die?

i mean she was right to try and protect me from him, he did nip me a couple times and he;s big enough that it breaks the skin now. but still. he needs to be handled.

i introduced snekk bab to fish bab by bringing him to her tank. he was intrigued and tried to climb the cords to the filter. she was in full on "get away from my human" mode trying to attack him thru the glass.

okay I went through and plucked/trimmed the mini sword runners. Felt kinda bad but like, stay in your corner little plant.

it's shooting off runners all over the place. i'm gonna have to trim those back bc they are shooting over to the other side of the tank where the glosso is. and i want the glosso to be the carpet. mini swords you can stay, just in your designated space.
