When I saw the making of the video, it gave me a really bad feeling that this wasn’t going to end well, and sure enough. I hope Corridor comes out of this wiser, but not beaten. They’ve been a source for good for too long to end up burning all their bridges. But we’ll see..

But, the simple fact remains: even if you personally don’t have a problem (embraced, in fact) with training on a specific piece of someone else’s art — and don’t see any issues with it — they all knew MANY hold the completely opposite opinion.

What’s probably the saddest thing about it, from a more personal perspective, is that you can tell just how much Niko wanted to do this video, and just how proud he was of the result. That probably ties into the reaction pattern — it’s tough when people dislike what you’ve made.

You can tell a lot about someone from how they respond to criticism. I really enjoy watching the Corridor videos (VFX Artists React etc), and I hope they do a better job in their second round here because their initial one..? Not great. Perplexingly tone-deaf even.

“Fleishman Is In Trouble” has a trailer that is not a true reflection of just how tender, intimate and complex this show is. The reviews focusing on the Tinder-style sex montages are also missing the point and misrepresents the show.
