A very good question. This isn't about security or anything else that is being falsely claimed, it's about competition.

Whereas the blocking of Twitter, Facebook, Google and all these other Western platforms in China is strictly about security and has nothing to do with competition or market share. I wish more people in the West would understand this.

I'm not fully aware of the USA vs Huawei issue and have no idea on wether or not it represents a threat, but regarding the question: I think so, since Cambridge Analytica was much smaller than Huawei.

But the relative agencies of multi countries including British and German government haven’t tested any back doors on Huawei’s devices. And there’s a news that US have done surveillance on many countries recently.
