Reports of #desertlocust outbreak in #Qatar untrue:
FAO reported that the situation is stable in the region and that the video clip circulating is old, dating back to 2019.

An interesting example of the supply chain effects of #locustoutbreaks
Transnet said it had to suspend mainline operations on the ore corridor for ~three days after more than 100km of line was hit by a huge swarm of locusts making the rail too slick.
